I am interested in a DIY bi fold hydraulic door for an opening roughly 25' wide and 14' tall. Possibly a swing up 1 pc door but this installation is in a side wall and would like the tallest opening I can get. I have a capable fab shop in Oklahoma.

Hello. I am a metal building builder in Oklahoma and we’re bidding a building for an airplane hanger. It will have 16’ tall walls and wanting a 40’ wide door price. I’m thinking 12’ tall by 40’ wide. Just plain white non insulated door with hydraulic opener. Would like to get door price and also installation price if you guys do installs. Thank you for your time

I recently purchased a hangar in Oklahoma with an existing Bi-fold door. The current door is cable operated and seem to be more limited by design for opening height. I am interested in general pricing estimates for a new door and if there are difficulties installing, or changing size, with an existing structure. Current door frame is 12'H X 40' W Staying with the original size, what opening height should I be able to expect? I don't think the old door opens as high as your newer door but if it could be converted/modified I would be interested in that path too. I don't know who made the original, if it's even a brand name. I believe there is more than ample room to go 13'H and maybe 14'H, are either of those height options. I suppose an understanding of your standard door height/width in this range and price estimates is what I am really after. Appreciate any/all information you can offer.
