Hi there, I am interested in getting a rough quote for a horizontally bifolding garage door. Approximate height of rough opening is 6'-6 7/8" and approximate width is 8'-0 5/8". The door is at the basement/street level and the garage door opening was poured as part of the original foundation formwork (1929), vertical edges are plumb and the top lintel is level. Some wiggle room for installation should be accounted for nonetheless. The door is to be insulated with an R value of ideally R14 although R12 is acceptable. It will need to be finished with a metal flat skin or corrugated metal finish to match Vicwest colour "Cambridge White (SMP #56161)" or "Vicwest colour Regent Grey (SMP #56082)". Alternatively, would it be possible to leave the door unfinished so that a piece of my wall cladding could be inserted on the two leaves for a fully seamless installation? The method of operation should be driven by cost-efficiency and a door use of approximately 2 or 3 times day. The client is not opposed to a manually operated door with a more rudimentary chain drive located on the inside if possible. If the door must be motorized, please consider the most economical set of options in your quote. The quote should include shipping, tariffs and tax costs but should not include installation. Allow for a delivery to British Columbia, Canada.
