541: NORTH CAROLINA DOORS

1

I will be pricing a total of four metal buildings to be used as hangars for North Carolina airport. There will be five hydraulic doors needed, 60'-0 x 18'-0 each. I am looking for the door specs only, the attachment to the metal building, loads imparted on the building and necessary support materials. I do not need pricing as this will be handled by the successful GC bidder. You may already be aware of this project. If I remember correctly, all the support members are included in the door package, so there are no vertical loads that need to be supported by the metal building, only the wind loads. I look forward to receiving your information so we can incorporate it into our building design. Thanks

I am in beginnning stages of designing a 46x100 metal building in North Carolina and am interested in putting either a bifold or hydraulic 40x14 door on the left gable end. Questions best answered by email at this time: 1.) Can you send clearance and engineering information for installation in gable of a web truss building and/or a red iron building; 2.) Cost for each door with no windows, no insulation delivered to area code 28712; 3.) Any additional costs/needs associated with installation. 4.) INstallers who serve my area.

Greetings, I represent the Western North Carolina Air Museum. Recently we suffered a tremendous loss. Huricane Helene destroyed all seven doors on our main hangar. I would like a quote to replace these doors with bifold doors. I can send pictures if necessary. All the openings have a steel I beam header.

Hello, I'm just starting to plan a hangar at an airpark in North Carolina where I've recently bought property. I'm planning on using a Schweiss bifold door with straps. Nothing fancy (except I'd call Schweiss "fancy"). I'm looking at being to fit a small Cessna (about 36' span) so I'm assuming a 40' wide door and 10' tall will be needed. I'd like to use this with a RapidSet structure (which is my next destination for an inquiry email). I'd like to know what I'm getting beside the steel structure for the door. Example: Assembly instructions? (I'd use a recommended installer but I like to be familiar with the process). Architectural drawings and load calc's for the county approvers? Warranty? How do you integrate with RapidSet? Just a few of those types of things. What the minimum height for the ridge pole of the building with a 10' opening door? Thanks for the help in planning next steps. Regards
