1

Hi there I was looking for a supplier I need the electrical system for a bifold door the motors the switch boxes for two doors I do have the rest. Can you quote me a price to include shipping to Chihuahua, Mexico

2

We would like to build a 26x45 garage. One door would be a regular 10x10 door, and the other a concealed look 10x12 folding electrical door with straps. This door would have 3 approximately 2.5 x 2' windows at top of upper panel to give you an idea of weight. If I had an email address I could attach a photo that could give you an idea of what we are planning. But first, could we get an idea of a range of cost we would be looking at for the bi-fold strap do-it-yourself kit that would work with the 10 x 12' door, if that is an option. Thank you for your time. Loren

3

I'd like to acquire operating, maintenance instructions and wiring diagrams for your bifold strap doors.

4

Hello, We're looking for 3 hydraulically or electrically actuated bifold strap doors, all 89.5" tall. The widths required are 173.25", 125", and 83.25". These will be incorporated into a steel structure built to resemble the aesthetics of a shipping container, so the doors will be faced with a corrugated material. Please reach out and I will provide additional information as well as conceptual designs. Thank you! Nick McCarty

5

I need a ballpark idea of what a 40 wide electric bi-fold Liftstrap hangar door would cost. I am seriously contemplating building a multipurpose garage/hangar and need to know how much I must finance. No huge airplanes, just a Clyde Cessna or a Cub. I may or may not end up buying a door but who knows?

6

I want to install a vertical bifold Liftstrap designer door on my home. I want a hydraulic or electric door. It will be clad in cedar.

9

We are getting ready to bid a T-Hanger at the Pontotoc County Airport. It is a small airport and the architect has left it up to us to determine what we need for the electrical. They are showing one of you bi-fold doors as an Alternate Adder price. I need to know what I should estimate the power circuit needed for this operation. The space at each unit is 41' 6". Do I need a 30Amp 240volt or more? I take it that you will furnish a prewired bifold strap door system starting at the disconnect, is this correct? This is for estimating purposes only.

10

We are considering a manual bifold door, but an electric opening door is also a consideration. The dimensions are 11' wide x 10' tall. We will provide cladding so we only need the frame and mechanisms. Shipping will be to zip code 70119. Thank you!

I am looking for glass electrical restaurant doors cost and lead time. Also are there other option to the yellow straps

17

We've purchased two kinetic architectural style bifold doors from you through our contractor (Antidote PC) in Chattanooga, TN. They are scheduled for delivery soon to TN. Our question is: how much electricity does it take to operate the motors for both doors (I believe one is 14' x 14' and the other is 14' x 40'). We wont't have grid power for six months and are looking into a portable solar unit for lights and the doors.

18

I have a two year old Bi fold door from another company (65x18) that started having an electrical issue. It opens fine but when I push either the remote down button or the wall mounted down button it momentarily engages the down starter and then quits. It is so quick that the door doesn't even move. I was able to close the door by manually engaging the down starter. This has worked fine for two years and thus issue just appeared. I think I should convert to an electric box provided from Schweiss. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

19

I have a 42 ft Schweiss bifold door that was installed Nov. 2014 in MS. It has a 2HP motor. Could you send me a schematic of the relay circuits and the other electrical controls? Door works great, just want a copy of schematics on hand.

20

I'm providing electrical design for new bifold liftstrap doors at an airport hangar. I'd like to know if there is any additional power connection requirement for the remote door opener system on a strap bi-fold hangar door, or if it can tie into the power motor unit on the door for any necessary power requirement. From the electrical door schematic, it appears that it connects to the power unit, but I'd like to confirm that there is no additional external power source required to the hangar door remote control unit.

21

The new home owners have contacted me and told me they want to go ahead with installing two 20x9 ft. remote controlled low voltage doors on their garage.

22

Can you email a copy of the Schweiss installation door manual? The one sent with the door got ruined. We are only looking for the electrical bifold door requirements.

23

I want to know if the 208 volt single phase 2 hp motor, fla=9.8 amps, 1.0 sf, has overload thermal protection built in to the door motor. This is for a Schweiss type bifold liftstrap door 38 ft. 11 in wide, 13 ft. 3 in high, wedge 24 inches. Canadian electric code requires thermal overload door protection. Please state if the motor has built-in self resetting overload protection.

24

I just bought a used Schweiss bi-fold door from an auction and don't have the wiring schematic for it. Can you email me one. Door was made on 06/30/99. Serial number is 100 367 185. The motor is 220v and its a 24 volt system. I also need a door up down stop switch. This is a cable lift door.

25

I have a cloth-covered quonset hangar that needs a Schweiss bi-fold strap door or one piece hydraulic door. Hangar has arch-design that is 38' wide and 17' high at peak. A bi-fold hangar door might be best, but I am curious what a hydraulic door might cost and is this door easier to install. Door   electricity is limited so would like an estimate on a backup door generator or solar door set-up.

26

I need a maintenance manual and electrical diagram for my bottom drive Schweiss bifold door on my hangar. Bought it from someone else who can't find it. No hurry, no problems.

27

Good Morning I am pricing a building in Richardson , Sask , Canada and my customer would like 2 - 40' x 20' bi-fold electrical lift doors with the lift straps. WE HAVE TWO OLDER (20 YRS /-) BIFOLD STRAPLIFT SCHWEISS DOORS. WE NEED TO KNOW THE RECOMMENDED FUSE TYPE AND AMPS TO PROVIDE OVERLOAD AND AVOID DAMAGE TO THE SYSTEM IN SITUATIONS WHERE LOCKING MECHANISM IS NOT RELEASE PRIOR TO START OPEN. 30

We have bought a few of your lift strap systems. (That's the only way to go) I am putting a saftey switch on the door latch. The manual I had here has seemed to of grown feet. I need a wiring diagram that showes the door latch safety switch on a 220 single phase system W/ 2 motors and one control. If you could Email that to me it would be greatly appreciated Thanks, ERA aviation facilities

31

Can you provide me with schematic or wiring diagram for the Schweiss SCH 4 door controller. Serial number of the unit is 156861-34 Thank you Bob

32

Hi i just aquired a 36' wide by 18" tall bi fold door. Its 240v single phase. Not sure on the motor hp. I was wondering if you could tell me what amp circuit I should put it on. Thanks Stuart

33

I'm looking at one piece hydraulic doors for 2 auto repair bays 12'x 12' in a concrete building. Can we use one power source for both?

34

I am thinking of putting two of your bifold or hydraulic doors on the end of my warehouse. What does a 16x30 door cost and what does the power unit cost? I would like some more detailed literature/pictures of how these doors work. Please include costs. One power unit could run two doors correct? I am assuming a valve could be flipped to power one and then the other/ thanks Jason

35

I am working towards finishing the interior of my hangar. Although I am not going to install a new Schweiss door now, I want to plan for the inevitability by putting electrical power in place. Can you tell me what kind of 220 volt, single phase circuit to plan for if using a hydraulic door? I would likely finish it with matching wood and insulate. I don't need a quote right now, but am curious about the rough price range. Thanks.

36

I need the spec sheet for sizing a generator to the door motors. I seem to have miss placed the one I recieved can you send me one via email thanks

37

You installed a bi-fold door on my shed many years ago. If power to the shed were interrupted, what would it take for a generator to open the door? I have two 2000 watt Honda generators and I'm wondering if they are connected in parallel, if that would be enough to open the door. I'm not sure if there would be a surge of electricity initially that would be greater that 4000 watts.

38

Is it possible to get more information about how the electrical wiring is routed on the door frame? How is the excess wire needed for the bifold door to open protected from twisting or getting pinched when the door opens/closes? Is there any specialized equipment to wind or spool the excess wire? Do you have recommendations on how to run the wire in conduit?

39

Need wiring diagrams for the bifold doors that we had installed here in Orlando. Everything is operating properly, It just our policy to have these diagrams on hand. Overhead door sold these to us and Florida Door installed them. Niether one of them has been able to produce the wiring diagram. It is not in the O&M manual furnished for the job. Please email this to me. Thanks

40

I'm working as a consultant for a small local airport that has just changed owners. The new owner is completely rebuilding the airport to be sustainable. I am trying to calculate the power needs for the airport and since we always recommend your doors for the hangars we sell here, I was wondering if you could give me an average kw usage for opening and shutting one of your average sized hangar doors. One cycle is fine or kwh a year is fine. Like I said this is a small airport and will probably not have anything with more than a 35ft wingspan if that helps with your calculations. Thank you

41

I purchased a bi-fold from you last July. It is a 50wx12h door and i ordered it 120 volts due to my power available. I am on a generator. I have upgraded my power system and would like to convert to 220-240 volt system. What do i need to do?

42

Our company is bidding this project next Tuesday, and your hydraulic doors are listed as one of the types that maybe used for the project. As a electrical contractor I was in question of what your door power connection and control connection requirements would be for this project. I would appreciate any information sent back to me if possible.Thank you and have a great day.

43
