I am building a home in Los Angeles, California with an unfortunately shallow garage. It has lead me to looking into creative door options and your bifold door might be one of them. I’m thinking if I can mount a door to the front of the door frame, I can “gain” a couple inches of value depth to better fit my car!

Hello, I'm an engineer out of California and we are installing one of your hydraulic lift doors and two bi-fold doors on our metal building. My question has to do with your door reactions table. In the table there is a column for END HINGES, and it says right below "Side Column and 1st Hinge Loc. from Each End". My question is, is that a combined reaction or does it need to be applied individually to both the column and the 1st hinge? I appreciate your help. Thanks.

I am currently designing a workshop/garage/office space, and I was looking at doing one of the bifold style doors as an interior door between the office and garage. Since this is in Truckee California, there are pretty strict fire requirements for inside doors, and I was curious on what the fire rating of these doors can be. I know that a lot of that can probably vary based on the door style. Maybe another way to phrase this is: have you ever used one of these as an interior door in California, and if so, which styles have been approved?

Hi, I'm an Architect working on a big Animal Care Facility in Goleta, California, near Santa Barbara. We are looking for a manufacturer of overhead pivot doors, 10'6" x 10'6" that can be custom designed to fit both louvered and glazed panels. The location of the pivot would be 1/3 the distance from the top of door. This is a single pivot door, not a bi-fold, but you look like the type of company that may be able to provide different custom assembly options. Our architecture firm is currently working on a single family home located in the Silverlake area of Los Angeles, California. We are looking into installing a bifold door in the garage with the intent of saving some head space being that the existing garage is not too ample. The garage opening/door has a height of 7' and a length of 18', and it would basically be a porous lattice (can send a concept image via email).

Good Morning, A few years ago I requested a price quote for a strap conversion kit for a 40'x 17' bi-fold door. If it helps the bid # is 2186-HMP. I would like to get an updated quote for the same size door as we are almost ready to get our hangar doors updated at this point.
