334: AIRPLANE SIZE CHART

1

A neighbor, who owns a 206, is building a hanger and I am trying to find out the door clearance that he needs. These are floatplane doors. Do the heights on your Schweiss airplane size chart give the clearance required for the plane with floats. For example Cessna 206 of 12' 6" is the tallest point. Thanks

I have a Schweiss bifold 45 Ft hangar door that has to be opened / closed by pressing and holding control panel / remote buttons. I would like to have "one touch" door operation without having to hold the buttons during operation. I looked through the hands-reference airplane size chart on your website, so I know this is the correct size bifold I need.  (Strap type with remote controls)

was just looking thru your Schweiss Doors airplane size chart on your website and also saw your bi-fold doors would like to receive a rough quote on 34x12 and 36x14 bi-fold hangar doors thank you

After looking through the Schweiss airplane size chart I have a second size not listed below. 2 doors 34' w X 16' h Side wall mounted. Also in strap operated bi-fold. Automatic strap latching. Open / Stop / Close operation. No remote at this time. Working with Architect on this project at this time. Would appreciate info ASAP. I would consider constructing my post framed building with the plans of constructing the I- beam header and post within the wood structure. We have done both the steel header and post frame and also complete wood frame but would welcome input on this size of doors. We have used Schweiss bi-folds before and also your hydraulic lift hangar doors. 30 year Contractor.

After seeing the Schweiss airplane size chart I am researching building a hangar. The lot is somewhat narrow. Looking at a 50x50 or 50x60 building. What are my options on doors and what are the price ranges? I have heard the doors are crazy good bifold doors with lift straps.

6

We would like the price for the bifold system we would like to use in a door on a new project in Lima, Perú. After reading your Schweiss airplane size chart, I'm wondering how much room I should add to each end of the wings.

7

We are in the process of building a hangar and would like quotes on a 13x40 door, that according to your plane size chart should be adequate. Please quote bi-fold and hydrolic. Also, please let me know what the cost would be to include windows. Thank you!

Hi l would like to purchase the components to construct a 6.2metre x 2.6meter hyralic one panel lift door in Australia . I anticipate in providing the steel frame via a local structural engineering company here in Australia for obvious transport reasons. Do you have an airplane size chart that also gives wing spans in meters instead of feet?   Could you please provide me details of a local supplier here in Australia or alternatively a cost to have the components shipped to Australia. I live in the state of Victoria, City Melbourne, Australia. I look forwards to your reply. Thanks Regards Joe

I'am wanting to to build a 40x16 or 40 x14 hangar on my private rural property and am not sure what width to make it. I think your detailed Schweiss airplane size chart is correct. I've talked to several people who have used you in the past in conjuction with metal mart steel buildings in this area.I would like to have an estimate of what a single fold door with all equipment to operate it would cost me. Width40' tall16'. I appreciate your help hope to hear from you soon. Douglas Evans

To whom it may concern, I'm interested in your Bifold Doors with Lift Straps, in particular with a bigger size for an Airplane Chart. I'm looking for a door size: Door Width:62 FT Door Height:20 FT. I would be very glad if you could send me a Schweiss Doors catalogue for more datails. In addition to that is there any chance you could send me price list? or could you provide a quote on the above-named large hangar doorsize? Many thanks in advance!

After perusing your aircraft size chart I'm requesting more info including cost for both hydraulic and bifold doors, for a planned 32'x50'x12' hangar shop in texas. 30'x12' opening. would also like to examine installed doors in or near bastrop, austin, or houston texas.

Need quote on components and wingspan size chart sizes for Bifold Door with Lift Straps for installation, a part of new hangar building, to be constructed in remote area. The eave height can be about 24 feet with bay width of say 24". Would like to build a door that would have clear opening of 20 feet high and 20 to 22 feet wide. Can design structure around simple door frame. Can build door frame in nearby shop and sheeting after installation.

We are currently designing a aviation maintenance facility for a local college. I'm needing design details, specifications and budget numbers for a strap-lift and hydraulic lift door that will be 48'-0" wide and 18'-0" height. The building will be a standard metal building with block and brick veneer up to 9'-o" Also, will need a list of wing spans for various other aircraft hangars. Do you have a aircraft size chart that lists wingspan, height and length of various Cessna aircraft?

15

40x50 hanger with a bi-fold door. How much does the lift strap system cost? What is a typical cost to install? Are experienced installation contractors available in my area? Where can I access a size chart so I know exactly how tall and wide to make my hangar door opening?

16

I purchased 2 40' bifold doors from you about a year ago, made many calls for support as the crew that put the building up just insulated and hung the doors, first mistake was purchasing the doors not knowing what I was getting into before looking at your plane size chart. I should have ordered bigger and taller Schweiss doors.i asked for a rep,the closest being in Bozeman if I remember and that would all be an additional cost to me.

We would like to use a vertical lift bifold door for airplane maintenance facility. opening is about 80ft wide and 30ft high. Would like to understand the structural implication and how we will need to frame the opening. Do you carry an aircraft size chart that list a number of different aircraft wing spans and lengths.  We appreciate your assistance.

18

I'm looking for a Revit (.rfa) file of a bifold hangar door for my Airport Hangar Building. The door, according to your aircraft size chart needs to have a clear opening of 50' wide x 16' high. Please let me know asap if you have a file for your doors that I can use in my design.

19

We will be working with a 24 w 14 t door way and now that I scouted you airplane size chart I would like to make it 28 or 30ft wide if possible. The main metal building is 60 by 100.
