Good Morning, We are bidding a project where a customer wants to extend their current indoor runway outdoors. As such we'll need a crane door system to allow the crane to travel from indoors to outdoors. Rough dimensions of side to side clearance and top of crane to bottom of runway are as follows: 40' W x 5' L. Please let me know what additional information you need. I can share images of the existing building and dimensional drawings of the crane.

We are in the process of remodeling our warehouse that has an overhead crane. We are making a temperature-controlled room to house the crane and need a set of bi-parting/folding doors. 8' wide opening by 12' to the top of the walls. We need the door to be able to open and let the crane carry items in and out of the controlled room. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

I am looking for options/information on a craneway door for a new building that I am putting together for a client of mine. The door would need to enclose and endwall of a PEMB building, but still allow a 5-ton top running bridge crane to run out beyond the wall of the building. Building profile is 50'-0" wide with a 21'-4 1/2" eave height and a 1:12 roof pitch. Crane runway to runway dimension is 45'-0".

Looking for a quote on a 40' bi fold or hydraulic crane door. To be used on a equipment storage and maintenance shed, with a 40' by 18' tall clear opening. To be installed in a new all steel/concrete building. Not picky on whether it is a bifold or hydraulic, just which ever is most cost effective and durable. The shed will not be heated or insulated.

I'm interested in a top running bridge crane door. 44ft-8-1/2in outside to outside building with 37ft-2in crane rail center to center. Assume 4ft tall bifold strap door. Haskell is a design/build general contractor working on a project for an aerospace client in Merritt Island Florida. Haskell has installed Schweiss Doors for this client at this campus before through a certified installer. I would like to explore options for a Schweiss door at the client's new facility which is currently in design. The door will be located over 100' above ground to facilitate an overhead crane moving in and out of the building. Hello, I'm looking to get a quote and technical information, including required clearances, for two hydraulic or bifold liftstrap operated craneway doors. One door is retrofit in an existing pre-eng metal building and the other is to be installed in a new-build metal addition. I am an engineer working on a manufacturing plant conversion project in Montezuma Iowa. An overhead crane will travel outside the building so we will need a clear opening of approximately 43'-6" wide x 3'-8" high. Building is an existing Star PEMB and this will be installed in a non-expandable gable endwall. Thinking a one-piece hydraulic door will be the best option but would like to discuss the option of using a bifold crane door. I have a preliminary drawing which I can forward to you for reference. I need a specialty bifold door quote for a crane door 20'W. Do I need to specify the height or is that a standard number? It's a standard gantry-mounted robot (identical construction to a crane). Not super heavy and won't (obviously) be carrying any additional weight. Point is- it's not a very tall gantry, so a couple feet will probably be enough.

We have a building with crane rails extending to the exterior, leaving an opening above the sliding doors that are under the crane rails. We only have slightly more than 12" vertical clearance between the door opening and the mobile crane. We would like to close this up with a one piece hydraulic or bifold strap lift door. The dimensions of the door would be about 62'9" x 10'-10". We would like to get a quote for this door. Is there a dealer in Arizona, or would we be dealing directly with you? I can supply PDF drawings as well as a 3D step file of the existing building structure to design within.

We currently have a pleated roll up door on one of our compressor buildings we have no room inside the building for door track due to overhead crane. Looking for a Schweiss crane door that is more weather tight so your bifold door would be just the ticket. The opening is 12' x 12' would like this to be insulated and it is going in a class III location so insulation would have to be non flammable or steel enclosed. Hello, I am working on a precast plant expansion. We are looking at possibly using your bi-fold crane doors as a solution to our problem. We want to be able to run the overhead cranes out the end of the building, but since the plant is near Fargo, ND the weather is causing some concerns. Because of the weather we need to be able to close off the end of the plant at times, but still need to be able to run cranes out. I am looking for some information on your crane door product, the requirements and hopefully some example details. The opening the door needs to cover is 88' wide and 10' tall.

I purchased a fairly large metal building (250ft x 120ft, 18' eve, 0.5:12 pitch) and I would like to install a large Gantry crane door in the west end. The roof beam along the end wall is about 12" with 6 vertical columns (including the corners) versus about 16" or 18" beam and 4 columns for the rest of the building. Is it possible to put a bifold door or hydraulic steel crane door in this wall? Desired size of crane door is 50'-60' wide x max ht.

I am looking at design options to divide an interior space with a crane door that is 70 feet wide and 45 feet high. There is an existing rigging crane that will occasionally travel back and forth through the area. Option for insulated panels if you carry them. 3-36"x24" walk door or at least framed openings Able to accept interior liner. This is a crane door, a Schweiss bifold with straps. I looked all over and Schweiss Doors appears to be the only company that specializes in crane doors. One other company said they would try to build me a crane door, but wouldn't guarantee me that it would work to my satisfaction. I can't live with that.

Which door opens and closes the fastest? Do I lose any head room with either door? I only have one truss rafter on the end wall how much bracing will have to be done to support either door? This is for a crane door so it needs to be structurally strong like I'm sure all your Schweiss liftstrap bifold and hydraulic doors are.

We often have a need for indoor acoustical rooms with large custom designere doors to accomodate work pieces to be inserted and removed with overhead cranes. If we could set up a meeting at our NY facility I think our company is ready to purchase some of your doors, we're just not sure at this time whether or not we want Schweiss hydraulic or straplift crane doors. Eastern Vault Comapny is a prestressed and precast concrete producer in West Virginia. We are interested in retrofitting a bifold door to one of our pre-engineered metal buildings. Our newest building, erected in 2007 had one of your Schweiss bifold liftstrap doors installed for our gantry cranes. The door has preformed very well and we are very interested in another unit. The existing door is a sectional overhead door, approximately 20'h x 30' wide. We would like to replace it with a bifold door having a clear opening of 22'h and 40' in width. It would require the external freestanding header.

I need a door that requires no bracing between the first two main frames that would prohibit the crane (26'-0 beam height) from being able to reach the first main frame/endwall.
