The Vergence House in Boulder, Colorado was designed by architect firm Arch11, to seamlessly blend luxury living with nature and a sustainable lifestyle in a modern design envelop.
The property owners wanted a garage that was street facing but didn't stick out. It was built under the main structure of the house and has a green roof with grasses plantings to draw a bit less attention.
The bifold garage door was provided by Schweiss Doors. The 17' x 8' door was the perfect fit for a home. The lift strap bifold door doesn't take up any space inside the garage, a must in a structure with little headroom to spare.
The door was mounted flush with the structure and clad in the same acetylated wood slat siding used in other areas of the home. When closed, the bifold door nearly disappears.
