Dear Schweiss Thank you for your wonderful site. I'm an architect looking for construction detail for a horizontal bifolding door that covers an opening of 4.5 metres wide and 3 metres high. Could you suggest an appropriate system please? Catalogues/CAD drawings via email would be great. Thank you. Yours faithfully
I need to make a secure covering for an area over our AC units. Will your bi fold doors work on a horizontal? Can you give me an estimate on covering an area 6 ft by 8ft? Thanks.
I'm looking for details to integrate a fully glazed horizontal bi-fold door for a college located in Alberta. Catalogue information, details, and any techincal help would be much appreciated.
Can a Schweiss Door be made to fit a swimming pool that is 45' x 5'? If so, would you recommend the bifold or one piece hydraulic door?
HAVE YOU ENGINEERED ANY HROIZONAL BIFOLD DOORS? IS IT FEASIBLE TO HAVE A 20 X 30 HORIZONAL DOOR? THIS WOULD BE AN INTERIOR APPLICATIONA AND WOULD COVER A SANDBLASTING AREA. THE OBJECT IS TO BE ABLE TO HAVE A FREE SPACE OPENING AT THE TOP.
I'm interested in a budgetary price on a door for an opening that will be 18' tall and 40' wide. Cost is a consideration, so we would probably be more interested in a horizontal bi-fold door as opposed to a one piece. This will be used on a large pole barn.
Can we get a price for a T-hanger horizontal bifold to fit 40'w x 16' h, multiple of 10, shipped to central NC?
We are looking for a horizontal timber bi-fold door for a shopping centre entry. In Dubbo NSW, Australia. Is there anyone in Sydney who can help us with this quiery.
Hi.....I am a very crafty person when it comes to building and construction and keep thinking of how tired I am of my garage door and it's always noisy opener...I can't stop thinking about a bi-fold door...not one that opens vertically but one that is pretty much like a bi-fold door you would find on the interior of a home on a closet etc. one that open's horizontally on a upper and or lower track or a upper track with a jamb side pivot of some sort.....we don't park our trucks in the garage there simply too big..what do you think and any idea how much it would cost?? thanks Larry
I am wanting to see if this style of door can be applied in the horizontal vs the vertical and how does that change the design of these doors? Also, to what depth can it be designed? I realize that you are opening doors for planes but when you change it to the horizontal plane will it change any design criteria? With concerns to the hydraulyics, with a depth of 4.5 meters, will the hydraulics be self contained or need a separate motor to open the doors? When opening, will it be 90 degrees or be slightly tilted? If you need a sketch of what the application is, I can send you one. Thanks, Brian H.
I am looking to purchase a horizontal bifold door in the near future and need a quote for a door covering a 186 in wide x 109 in tall opening.
I just built a 50X60 polebarn as a hangar/shop on my farm. The builder talked me into a horizontal bi-fold(40X12 opening)to save some money. Big mistake! This door does not have my confidence to hold up against Oklahoma winds. Should have spent the money to start with. What would be involved in installing a Scweiss door as a retrofit? The sides are 6X6in treated lumber and top is double 2X6 engineered truss and floor is concrete. Thanks

I have a 14' x 7-3" RO I need hardware for. The door can be a steel carriage style one piece or horizontal bi-fold. I have no head room. The zero headroom hydralic looks intriguing. The garage has concrete walls. Thanks!
HORIZONTAL BI-FOLD DOORS Steel horizontal bifold doors with custom metal cladding
I am remodeling a shed on my Dad's farm and he would like to put in a new door. The shed has a concrete foundation 8 inches wide and 14 inches in height. The horizontal opening is 15 feet 11 inches between the concrete foundation. I would want to put the door on the face of the end wall in order to retain as much horizontal opening as possible. There is 25 1/5 inches of verticle height from the upper door corners to the roof line. We will be doing some repair of the end wall so we will build the door frame to your recomendations. If you need further information contact me.
